IARR Community Offering with Savannah Wood.

Please join us in this moment of reflection and remembrance making mementos to honor our ancestors. we'll make image transfers onto either pre-dyed or to-be-dyed fabric. Participants will have the opportunity to put their images-on-fabric dyed with marigold, walnut or cochineal and indigo. The patches can be used as standalone objects, or added to your favorite item of clothing, jacket, hoodie etc.

Savannah Wood is an artist with deep roots in Baltimore and Los Angeles. Wood works primarily in photography, text and installation to explore how spirituality, domesticity, and our relationships to place shape our identities. Her projects reconnect people with the everyday beauty of our world and the histories that lie hidden below the surface.
