Join us Fri, Dec 13th to tour the studio and visit our Concept Store with a curated collection of storied objects showcasing both the devotion and the divine that is exalted and exists within myriad expressions of blue.

Please join us in this moment of reflection and remembrance making mementos to honor our ancestors. we'll make image transfers onto either pre-dyed or to-be-dyed fabric. Participants will have the opportunity to put their images-on-fabric dyed with marigold, walnut or cochineal and indigo. The patches can be used as standalone objects, or added to your favorite item of clothing, jacket, hoodie etc.

Día De Los Muertos
We are honored to host our second annual Día de los Muertos celebration in collaboration with Latino Outdoors at Blue Light Junction. Please join us Saturday, November 02 from 6-9pm to reflect on those we love who have ascended into ancestry and to gather in reflection and honor of the lives we have collectively lost this year. Altars, activities, food and chocolate.

Cuentos Cantados: Storytelling, Rhythm, and Music from Nuquí, Chocó, Colombia
Join us for an immersive journey into the heart of Afro-Colombian culture with Tambacum, a renowned music group from Nuquí, Chocó. This unique workshop blends storytelling, rhythm, and traditional music in a way that invites participants to engage deeply with the rich cultural heritage of Nuquí. Drawing on the practice of "cuentos cantados" (sung stories), this workshop offers an in-depth exploration of Afro-Colombian storytelling, accompanied by the vibrant rhythms that define the music of the Pacific coast.

Stitch and Flip Quilt Block workshop w/ Nichole Talbott

Come learn how to machine sew your own unique quilting square with us. Learn the easy method of stitch & flip a base layer construction technique for making a free from quilting square.

Volunteer Day - Marigolds Planting & Sale
Join us this Saturday Sept 28 during our Volunteers hours. We will planting new marigolds and also will be selling marigolds starter plants for you to take home while supporting the Natural Dye Community Garden.
We look forward to welcoming you at the garden! Come , connect and learn more about natural dyes and the plants we grow. All ages and experience level are welcome.

Robert Young Workshop + Trunk Show
We are thrilled to welcome Visiting Artist/Designer Robert Young of The Cloth from Trinidad & Tobago. Join us for a day of events at Blue Light Junction:

Yellow Dyes of Mexico with Janette Terrazas Islas -Workshop
We are excited to host a workshop with Janette Terrazas Islas at Blue Light Junction In this workshop Janette will share her practice and knowledge around indigenous dyes of Mexico including gobernadora, cempasuchil, pericon, and copalquin among others. Participants will work with silk and wool to create samples of each plant and become more immersed in the legacy of Mexico's dye craft.
