Calling all knitters, craft lovers, and yarn enthusiasts! Join us for a special indigo yarn dyeing workshop to add a creative spark to your holiday season. Inspired by Elizabeth Duvivier’s new book “Three Skeins of Caledonia Blue”, this workshop is a collaborative event between the author and Blue Light Junction Studio. You’ll get the chance to meet Elizabeth, hear more about her book, and participate in a hands-on yarn dyeing session. You’ll create three skeins in varying shades of blue—light, dark, and patterned. This 5-hour workshop includes an author talk, book discussion, and a yarn dyeing session.

*Please Note - Part of this workshop will beheld upstairs in Blue Light Junction. There are 20 stairs to climb to Studio Blue. We apologize for whatever inconvenience this may cause.

Workshop Dates and Times: 

Saturday, Nov. 16: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM  

Duration: 5 hours

Location: 209 McAllister Street, Suite A, Baltimore, MD 21202 (grey door, across from Hidden Harvest Farm) *one step to enter building

All materials, including yarns and indigo dyeing tools, will be provided at Blue Light Junction. We recommend ordering and reading Elizabeth Duvivier’s book Three Skeins of Caledonia Blue ahead of time, as the workshop draws inspiration from it. Paper copies of the book will also be available for purchase and signing during the event.

Light snacks, water, tea will be provided

Some Kind of Blue ( Studio Blue Concept Store) will be open for shopping and browsing.

The Alternative Library will be accessible for perusing.
