Punch Needle and Mending Community Offering with Celia and Rosa
The Ibura Art and Research Residency welcomes 4 residents biennially (in cohorts of 2 people) to connect their practice to Blue Light Junctions (BLJ) mission, values, environment and work. As part of the residency, IARR residents offer a free community engagement to conclude their time at BLJ.

Punch Needle and Mending Workshop at Blue Light Junction is a community offering designed to merge the art of punch needle and mending with mindfulness and wellness practices. This two and a half hour workshop is open to all skill levels and provides participants with the tools and techniques needed to create a punch needle and mending projects while fostering relaxation and intention. The session includes guided mindfulness exercises, intentional design selection, and reflective moments to enhance the overall experience. Participants will leave with a completed or near-completed project, mindfulness techniques, and wellness insights that they can incorporate into their daily lives. This offering is family-friendly and suitable for both adults and children, making it a perfect opportunity for creative expression and community connection.
Ibura Art & Research Residency Bio:
Celia is a fiber artist with experience in punch needle, hand sewing and crochet, She is dedicated to exploring the intersection of craft and community and integrating wellness into the crafting process. Her work aims to create spaces for creativity and connection, using sustainable practices and natural materials. She and Rosa are excited to share knowledge and techniques in this punch needle and mending workshop, fostering a holistic and enriching experience for all participants.
*Please Note - This workshop is located upstairs in Blue Light Junction. There are 20 stairs to climb to Studio Blue. We apologize for whatever inconvenience this may cause.
